Competitive Program
Zenith West is known for high-quality gymnastics, a positive training environment, and a close-knit team culture. We travel and compete nationwide in both the Developmental and XCEL programs of USA Gymnastics (USAG).
Our mission is to develop well-balanced, healthy athletes who lead with integrity and tenacity. We believe the strength of the mind is just as important as the strength of the body. Our progressive training programs are thoughtfully designed and include dance, Pilates, flexibility, mental training, prehab and injury-prevention exercises, strength development, skill training on both soft and hard surfaces, and consistent drilling of proper technique.
Our competitive philosophy is simple: have fun and do your best. This philosophy is brought to life through our four core values:
Confidence
Tenacity
Passion
Excellence
At Zenith West, we believe in the power of the team. Team bonding, community service, volunteer opportunities, and leadership development are essential parts of the athlete experience. We are committed to serving others, supporting one another, and growing together.
Nothing worth achieving comes easy. Hard work is the foundation for success, both in gymnastics and in life. Everything is earned here. Challenges are welcomed. Struggles and mistakes are embraced as opportunities to learn and improve. We ask for 100% effort every day in pursuit of that 1% daily growth.
We are here to help our athletes move mountains and go to their destiny.

Compulsory LEvels
DEVELOPMENTAL PRogram
Levels 2-5
The Developmental Program is built on the belief that all athletes—regardless of long-term potential—must first establish a strong foundation of basic skills in order to progress safely and successfully through the upper levels of the sport.
This program allows gymnasts to advance at their own individualized pace. Progression through the levels is determined by demonstrated proficiency in required skills and achievement of minimum mobility scores.
Competitive opportunities typically include 5–8 meets between November and March, with regional travel, one optional fly-away competition, and a season that concludes at the USA Gymnastics Washington State Championships each March.
Compulsory gymnastics levels 2–5 consist of progressively challenging skills performed as standardized routines. Athletes may remain in each level for 1–4 years, depending on their unique developmental journey, physical readiness, and long-term growth plan.
Routines for Levels 6–10 are individualized and original, thoughtfully composed to highlight each athlete’s unique strengths and abilities.
In optional gymnastics, routines are developed within USA Gymnastics organizational guidelines. Levels 6–8 have specific requirements that must be met in order to train and compete. In addition to these standards, Zenith West upholds its own high expectations to ensure athletes progress safely, confidently, and successfully.
Optional-level athletes compete regionally and participate in two fly-away competitions each year, providing exposure to larger competition settings and a diverse field of competitors.
The competitive season for Levels 6–8 culminates at the Region 2 Regional Championships in April, where athletes compete against gymnasts from Idaho, Hawaii, Montana, Oregon, California, Alaska, and Washington.
Level 9 athletes who qualify at Regionals advance to the Western Championships, held in early May, where they compete against the top athletes from the western half of the United States.
Level 10 athletes who qualify at Regionals advance to the USA Gymnastics National Championships, competing against the best gymnasts in the country. Nationals is the premier stage for college recruiting, offering unparalleled exposure to collegiate programs nationwide.

Elite Athletes
Junior & Senior Elite Training
Elite is the top level of gymnastics competition for athletes aspiring to be on the National Team. The National Team represents the United States in international competitions, including the summer Olympics.
Olympics Hopefuls Program
The Olympics Hopefuls Program (Hopes) is an advanced version of TOPs, for gymnasts between ages 8-14. In order to qualify for Hopes, a gymnast must pass both the elite compulsory and optional qualifiers with a minimum score. Athletes must make qualifying scores in level 9 before attending HOPES.
Talent Opportunity Program
The Talent Opportunity Program (TOPs) identifies talented gymnasts aged 7-10 for further training to the elite level. It consists of state and regional evaluations followed by a national test of physical abilities and basic gymnastics skills each year. The minimum level to begin TOPs training is level 7.
An Opportunity For Collegiate Gymnastics
Colleges evaluate prospective student-athletes holistically, placing strong value on academic diligence, national rankings, skill sets, competition scores, relationships with coaches and teammates, and the ability to perform under pressure. Zenith West takes a proactive approach to college recruitment, with extensive experience navigating the process and a thorough understanding of NCAA rules and expectations.
We are a small gym with big dreams. Our ability to support athletes through the college recruiting process is on-par with the largest programs in the state. We believe deeply in loyalty to the coaches and programs that help develop and guide athletes throughout their journeys. Currently, a small number of large gyms consistently receive high-level athletes developed by smaller programs like ours. We believe it is time to broaden that opportunity, allowing smaller gyms to grow, develop, and shine, while giving multiple coaching teams the chance to build strong, sustainable, high-level programs.
